Gelsenkirchen (AP) - A corona rapid test was positive for a player from Bundesliga soccer club FC Schalke 04.
The affected and unnamed professional immediately went into domestic isolation, said the Revierclub.
The club cannot currently answer whether the positive test will affect the catch-up game against Hertha BSC on Wednesday (6 p.m.), it said.
All other members of the team had tested negative.
Nevertheless, the training on Monday was canceled as a precaution.
PCR tests were also carried out, the results of which should be available on Tuesday.
Then it will be decided whether training can be resumed.
Schalke has already been relegated.
