Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - Minister of Social Affairs Manne Lucha (Greens) and the heads of the central vaccination centers have agreed on the distribution of the corona vaccine supplied by the federal government.

The vaccination centers show solidarity with one another and it is a matter of course for the central vaccination centers to support the district vaccination centers in the next few weeks, the Green politician announced on Monday in Stuttgart.

"More vaccine should go to populous rural districts and to places where the vaccination rates are still comparatively low."

Lucha said the common goal is to get the vaccine to the area.

The trigger for the conversation was that the federal government did not deliver enough vaccine in May to keep the vaccination centers running at full capacity.

For Baden-Württemberg, the next deliveries averaged around 330,000 vaccine doses per week.
