Berlin (dpa / bb) - According to a survey, the mood in the Berlin economy is better than it has been in a year.

A good every third company expects better business in the next few months, just under every fifth worse, as the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK) announced on Monday.

"The good news is that confidence is returning among many entrepreneurs," said Managing Director Jan Eder.

However, the business climate index is still a long way from the level before the Corona crisis.

Many companies are in a dire financial situation.

The hospitality industry in particular is suffering from the extensive closure of hotels and restaurants.

Every third company is threatened with bankruptcy.
