Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - Greens parliamentary group leader Andreas Schwarz has been confirmed in office with 100 percent approval.

The 41-year-old Kirchheimer received 57 yes-votes, it was said on Monday in Stuttgart from the Green parliamentary group.

Schwarz is traded as a possible successor if Prime Minister Winfried Kretschmann (72) resigns in five years at the latest.

The Stuttgart MP Muhterem Aras (55) was nominated again as President of the State Parliament.

She received 54 yes votes, two MPs voted no.

The parliamentary group must also clarify the successor to the three deputy chairmen Thekla Walker, Sandra Boser and Andrea Lindlohr.

Walker becomes the new environment minister, Boser state secretary in the cultural department and Lindlohr in the new, CDU-led Ministry for Housing and Regional Development.
