Oststeinbek (dpa / lno) - The fire brigade freed a helpless horse from a stream in Oststeinbek (Stormarn district) on Monday.
The animal had sunk into the stream and was no longer able to save itself, said a spokeswoman for the German press agency.
The horse could be pulled out of the ditch “with ribbon slings and a lot of manpower”.
Between 20 and 30 emergency services would have helped pull out.
A telescopic loader borrowed from a farmer was not used.
Apparently the horse is doing well.
"It went well to the paddock."
