May 10, 2021 The fine that the Antitrust has imposed on Easyjet for unfair commercial practices amounts to 2.8 million.

The conduct of the national airline in the sale of airline tickets for flights operating from 3 June 2020 is targeted.

The accusations made by the Antitrust include that of having canceled flights with "incomplete and ambiguous" information, falsely justifying the decision with reasons related to the restrictions on circulation inherent in the epidemic emergency; having provided misleading information on the rights of passengers in the event of cancellation, failing to give priority to the alternative between a new flight and a cash refund and offering a priority to issue a voucher; having created contact difficulties through customer assistance services not only for those requesting refunds but also subsequently for those wishing to use the credit represented by the voucher.

A practice, that of Easy Jet, says the Guarantor, "not only deceptive and omissive but also characterized by specific profiles of aggression" which has "unduly exploited the justification relating to the epidemiological emergency".
