New statistics show that the municipalities in Västernorrland have a small proportion of green cars in their operations.

The worst situation is Ånge, where only 12.5 percent of the cars are classified as green cars.

- This is partly due to the fact that we do not have an expanded infrastructure with electricity charging options and not so much access to other fuels that are environmentally friendly.

Then we do not have internal goals regarding the proportion of green cars, says Elin Rapp, head of the office in Ånge municipality.

Elin Rapp believes that there is room for improvement and says that they have now hired a procurement coordinator who will focus on environmental issues and the vehicle fleet. At the same time, the municipality needs help from the state with the expansion of the infrastructure for electric cars.
