has announced that the new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours in the country have been 414,188, with 3,915 deaths.

The total number of coronavirus infections detected by the Ministry of Health is now 21.49 million with 234,083 victims.

In the last week alone, new cases have been 1.57 million, 15,100 victims.



The Japanese government intends to extend the state of emergency in the cities of

Tokyo

and

Osaka

until May 31st.
