Ludwigsburg (dpa / lsw) - A car driver hit a broken down truck on the A 81 and was seriously injured in the accident.
The truck was in the right lane early Monday morning because of a flat tire near Sindelfingen and was secured with a warning triangle, the police said.
The driver of the car nevertheless switched to the right lane, where his vehicle collided with the truck and was partially pushed under it.
The fire brigade had to free the trapped man.
He came to the hospital by rescue helicopter.
Because of the accident and the subsequent full closure, traffic in the direction of Stuttgart has now been jammed for around ten kilometers, as the police announced.
The entire lane was clear again only a good three hours after the accident.
