Rostock (dpa / mv) - In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, 58 new corona infections were reported on Monday.

That was 34 less than on Monday a week ago, as the State Office for Health and Social Affairs (Lagus) announced (as of 4:43 p.m.).

Eleven other people died in connection with coronavirus infection.

The total number of corona deaths in the country rose to 1055.

The seven-day incidence decreased to 84.6.

A week ago, this value, which indicates the number of new corona infections per 100,000 inhabitants within a week, was according to information nationwide at 115.5.

At 132.7, the incidence is currently highest in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district.

In the other regions of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, this important value is between 40.1 (district of Western Pomerania-Rügen) and 113.1 (district of Mecklenburg Lake District).

The total number of corona infections detected so far in the northeast is 42 075. Around 37,900 people are considered to have recovered.
