Redefin (dpa / mv) - Show jumper Richard Vogel won the Grand Prix at the end of the international tournament in Redefin, Mecklenburg.

The Marburg driver won the second section with the gelding Never Walk Alone after two clear laps with the best time.

The test, endowed with 35,000 euros, was also the second stage of the Riders Tour show jumping series.

André Thieme from Mecklenburg and his mare Chakaria came in second.

He also managed two clean rides.

The 46-year-old from Plau am See stayed four hundredths of a second (37.04) behind Vogel (37.00) in the decisive round.

Carsten-Otto Nagel (Wedel) came in third with L'Esperance.

A total of nine pairs had no mistakes in both rounds.

After the series was canceled in the previous year due to the consequences of the corona pandemic, this season should continue with six stations.

The next stage is the tournament in Munich on the last weekend in May.
