Mockery (dpa) - The era of the Transall transport fan guns in the Bundeswehr is coming to an end.
More than 50 years after being stationed, the number of Transall aircraft at the Hohn Air Base near Rendsburg has already been reduced to eleven.
At the end of the year for the dissolution of Transportgeschwader 63, seven Transall will be left, said a squadron spokesman for the German press agency.
At peak times, more than 30 Transall C-160 fan guns were stationed in Hohn.
As a farewell greeting, the squadron gave a machine a special paint job.

There have been three corresponding requests for use as a museum aircraft.
