May 09, 2021 Alexander Murakhovsky, head of the Ministry of Health of the Omsk region, southwestern Siberia and doctor who treated Russian dissident Alexei Navalny in Siberia after the poisoning, has disappeared. This was announced by Tass citing police sources.

Murakhovsky, 49, had left on Friday for a hunting trip in the Omsk region, about 2,200 km east of Moscow: the last time he was seen aboard an off-road vehicle. The doctor's research, says Tass, are still ongoing with various means available including drones, a helicopter and ground volunteers.

The doctor was promoted to the post of regional health minister last November.
