The demonstrators demanded more ecological ambition from the government.

The new climate march brought together tens of thousands of people across France on Sunday.
In Paris, the main slogan was criticism of the climate law, which has just been voted on at first reading in the Assembly.
The demonstrators all brandished the same slogans, such as "climate law = failure" or "climate law, blabla law".
Many people consider the text insufficient.

"The ban on advertising on polluting products, that we did not have, nor the stop of the internal flights Paris-Marseille, for example, nor the reduction of the VAT on the tickets of train, nor the stop extensions of airports, nor the supervision of the emissions of French multinationals. All the major measures are absent from the text ", indignant Alma Dufour of the association Friends of the Earth.
She regrets that only a small part of the proposals of the Citizens' Convention have been included in the law as they are.

For Camille Etienne of the collective "On est Prêt", this text is even a mess. The activist expects more from the government. "They had a boulevard in front of them, they could really present themselves as climate champions, as they often boast," says the young woman. "The majority of the French supported the Citizens' Convention. The scientists recalled the urgency and the need to act. They had only to do it and what failed, it was a real lack of will." She now hopes that the text can be strengthened during its passage in the Senate or during its second reading in the Assembly.
