Lady Gaga on the set of Scott's film

May 09, 2021 "I would like to thank all of Italy for supporting me during the shooting of the film: I embrace you and kiss you, I believe in you, I pray for my homeland, a country built on the promise of hard work and family. I hope to have made you proud. I am proud to be Italian ".

With this tweet Lady Gaga greets Italy after the experience of the set of "House of Gucci", the mega production directed by Ridley Scott which saw the American star in the role of Patrizia Reggiani, Maurizio Gucci's wife sentenced to 26 years in prison as the instigator of the murder of her husband, killed in 1995 in Milan.

Lady Germanotta's tweet - who has Sicilian origins - immediately entered the trending topics and punctuated by a little heart, the emoticon with folded hands and the tricolor flag, ends with a very Italian "Ti amo".

I wish to thank all of Italy for cheering me on while I film this movie — I hug & kiss you, tell you I believe in you ❤️ prayers 🇮🇹🙏to my place of origin — a country built on the promise of hard work & family.

I hope I made you proud.

I'm proud to be Italian.

I love you.
