Hamburg / Kiel (dpa) - Hamburger SV wants to use its last chance in the promotion of the 2nd Bundesliga.

After separating from Daniel Thioune, Horst Hrubesch is sitting on the HSV bench for the first time on Monday (8.30 p.m. / Sky) against 1. FC Nürnberg.

“Of course” he still believes in the promotion, said the long-time HSV goalscorer, who primarily wants to help the professionals to relax and freshen up their heads.

For HSV (52 points), victories in the three remaining games of the season are mandatory in order to surpass second Greuther Fürth (58 points) and third Holstein Kiel (56).

The Kielers will catch up on their home game against Hannover 96 on Monday (6 p.m. / Sky) and would advance past Fürth to the promotion spot with a win.
