A man killed his ex-partner, a 60-year-old woman, on Sunday and later took his own life in the Valencian town of
Sagunto,
according to sources from the
National Police
reported to Europa Press
.
There was a restraining order against the alleged perpetrator that prohibited him from approaching the victim.
The events occurred after 8:00 p.m. this Sunday when the residents of a building in Sagunto on Calle
Alcalá Galiano
alerted the Police after hearing some screams.
The agents have arrived at the scene and have verified that the 60-year-old woman had died as a result of the
stab wounds
allegedly caused by her ex-partner.
The first investigations indicate that the aggressor has stabbed the woman in the neck area.
The alleged perpetrator, whose age has not been specified, took his own life after committing the crime by jumping into the void
from a fourth floor
when the police arrived, according to the same sources.
