It is no secret that the crisis caused by the coronavirus has hit students hard.
Deprived of odd jobs to finance their studies, pay their rent or simply their groceries, many find themselves in financial difficulty.
According to a survey conducted by Fage (the federation of general student associations), they are even 74% of 18-24 year olds to be in this situation.

A platform to connect struggling students with families who want to help them
It was in a supermarket that Marion Dolisy Galzy and Anne Wuattier had the idea of founding # 1CabasPour1Étudiant, seeing a student counting her pennies to buy food. The concept is simple: a solidarity platform where students in difficulty and families who are quick to help them are linked through their postal address. "The sponsor undertakes to offer races, but also to create links", summarizes the co-founder.
“Since the launch of the solidarity platform in the Lyon region on February 8, 2021, we have already linked nearly 1,200 students with 1,200 wonderful families,” Marion Dolisy Galzy told Europe 1.
Faced with such success, the two women have been declining their concept at the national level since March 2021, and the platform is active "in nine regions and some 800 municipalities".
The # 1CabasPourUnÉtudiant initiative is competing with the Determined, the Book Exchange and the Bureaux du Coeur in the listener favorite category of the Europe 1 Trophies of the Future 2021. Vote for your favorite candidate here.
Make the platform known "to as many people as possible"
From now on, the objective of # 1CabasPour1Étudiant is to make itself known so "that it can benefit as many people as possible, because students are the lifeblood of our country and we must help them", insists the co-founder, who also emphasizes forward that its initiative is a vector of social bond.
