", and in the words of Prince Harry, a concert for everyone to have access to the vaccine against the coronavirus.
Recorded last week at a stadium in Los Angeles, the Vax Live Concert aired Saturday night, May 8, online and in over 100 countries.
In front of 20,000 essential workers, all vaccinated and masked, dozens of artists have followed one another on stage: Jennifer Lopez, Her, the Foo Fighters, actor Ben Affleck.
All pleaded for an equitable distribution of vaccines.
Solidarity with India
Indian actor Amitabh Bachchan also called for solidarity with India where the situation continues to be dire.
In a video message, US President John Biden assured the leaders were mobilized.

To make sure that every country can have the necessary vaccines.
If we get there, we won't miss a moment of our lives

Donations will go to the Covax initiative
The concert raised 340 million dollars as well as donations of vaccines from countries or laboratories of up to 25 million doses.
Donations that will go to the Covax initiative set up to allow less wealthy countries to access vaccines.
