Magdeburg / Naumburg (dpa / sa) - The technical relief organization (THW) should be more involved in the system of danger prevention from the point of view of the domestic political spokesman for the SPD parliamentary group, Rüdiger Erben.
"Unfortunately, state and local authorities use the THW far too seldom," said Erben on Sunday.
"The THW helpers are excellently trained, highly motivated and now technically very well equipped."
In Bavaria, for example, it is customary to call the THW with its special skills into action.
In Saxony-Anhalt this is only very rarely the case below the disaster.
“That has to change, also in order to maintain the motivation of the THW helpers”, explained Erben.
According to the information, the THW helps with the logistics for the corona vaccination centers and with the distribution of rapid tests in Saxony-Anhalt.
In addition, individual THW local associations were deployed during the heavy onset of winter in February.
According to the announcement, Erben visited the THW local association in Naumburg at the weekend.
