More than 1,600 soldiers and 61 pieces of various weapons and equipment participated in the military parade.
However, due to weather conditions, the air parade part of the day was temporarily cancelled.
The foot phalanx on the parade was mainly officers and soldiers from the Pacific Fleet and the Eastern Military Region.
The phalanx of weapons and equipment is led by the legendary tank T-34 in the Soviet era. It also displayed the T-80BV main battle tank, BMP-3 amphibious combat vehicle, S-400 air defense missile system, "Bastion" coastal defense missile system, and "Armor -S" missile system, "hail" rocket launcher and BTR-82A armored vehicle and other modern weapons and equipment.
Due to the new crown epidemic, this year's "Immortal Legion" mass parade was changed to be held online. People can upload photos of their loved ones who participated in the Great Patriotic War on the website for commemoration.
In addition to the military parade on the day of the festival, Vladivostok will also host a series of celebrations, such as historical exhibitions, cultural performances, weapons exhibitions and fireworks evenings.
