Munich (dpa) - Bayern Munich's CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge “wishes the DFB” Hansi Flick as national coach.

«Hansi would be a perfect fit for the DFB.

He knows the DFB, the DFB knows him, ”said the 65-year-old after Munich's title win on Saturday evening on Sky TV.

One could only urgently recommend the German Football Association to “quickly tick off these personnel with okay,” said Rummenigge.

"It would be the first positive sign that the DFB has recognized what is also necessary."

Flick is considered the number one candidate to succeed national coach Joachim Loew, who is leaving his post after the European Championship.

“Hansi is a coach that is very, very much in demand in Europe, thanks to his success with Bayern Munich.

At the end of the day, it would be practically a drama if he went abroad or somewhere else and didn't end up with the DFB, ”said Rummenigge.

For a possible move from Flick to the DFB, "everything is settled", Rummenigge's successor Kahn had previously assured.

"At the moment" there is also "no financial compensation" from the DFB for such a case after the Bayern coach's contract has been terminated.

A game between Bayern and the national team is still possible, the proceeds of which could then go to the record champions.

"But that's a long way off," said Kahn.

Flick had previously denied that his future at the DFB was already clear.

"No, no," he said to Sky when asked.
