Bensheim (dpa / lhe) - A 26-year-old man is said to have threatened his mother and brother with a knife in an apartment in Bensheim and was therefore arrested.
The police said they had been called to the apartment building in the Bergstrasse district on Saturday evening because of a family dispute.
The 52-year-old woman and her 29-year-old son were able to get to safety in the apartment and wait there until the police surrounded the house and persuaded the younger brother to leave the apartment on the phone.
Outside they arrested him without resistance.
Nobody got hurt.
The man is now being investigated for threat.
