May 09, 2021 "Accepting the wish of Cardinal Montenegro, we grant that the venerable servant of god Angelo Rosario Livatino is henceforth called blessed and that, every year, his feast may be celebrated on October 29".

It is with these words that Judge Livatino was proclaimed blessed during a solemn ceremony celebrated in the cathedral of Agrigento.

At the same time, the reliquary containing the shirt worn by the blessed on the day he was killed by the mafia was placed in a reliquary in the cathedral.

It is a reliquary made of hammered and chiseled silver.
