"Monsieur Muselier is the candidate of En Marche"

After the shock wave, LR had put the investiture of Renaud Muselier in the balance but finally decided on Tuesday to give him his "support", having obtained the assurance that there would be neither minister nor LREM parliamentarian on his listing. Under pressure from the leadership of his party, Renaud Muselier had finally refused any "agreement with En Marche". In the process, the mayor of Nice, Christian Estrosi, had nevertheless announced his departure from LR, accused of curling up on himself. But he said he "would clearly support Renaud Muselier" Friday night on France 3 Paca.

"I remind you that in 2015 they were saved thanks to the support of the Socialist Party and [Christophe] Castaner", adds Thierry Mariani.

"In 2021, it is clear that they hope to be saved thanks to the support and rallying to En Marche."

"In reality, Mr. Muselier is the candidate for En Marche", affirms Thierry Mariani.

"If Renaud Muselier wins, it will be at the Élysée that we will open the champagne!"

The LREM Secretary of State, Sophie Cluzel, however maintained her candidacy for the regional ones.

"All the doors are not closed" with Muselier, indicated an LREM source, while acknowledging that "the negotiations are not easy".

"The suspense is not to know [if Renaud Muselier] will be supported or not (by LREM) but simply to know when, will it be in the first round or in the second round," said Thierry Mariani.

"If Renaud Muselier wins, it will be at the Élysée that we will open the champagne! It will be a good operation for Mr. Macron who will be able to claim this region and it will also be a good operation for him because he will have continued to explode "LR," he continues.

And to conclude: "Renaud Muselier is the example of the drift of this party."
