Gardelegen (dpa / sa) - A fire in a carport and a warehouse in Gardelegen caused damage of around 200,000 euros.
The fire brigade prevented the flames from spreading to a residential building, as the police said.
The resident of the house in the Altmarkkreis Salzwedel had brought himself to safety on Saturday afternoon.
He was unharmed.
The building is not yet habitable again because of the extinguishing work.
The fire brigade was deployed with 50 men.
The cause of fire was unclear for the moment.
The police did not rule out both arson and a technical defect.
