Paris / Brussels (dpa) - According to Industry Commissioner Thierry Breton, the EU has not extended its vaccine contract with the manufacturer Astrazeneca beyond June.
That said the Frenchman on the radio station France Inter.
"We have not renewed the order beyond the month of June," he said when asked about Astrazeneca.
"We will see.
We'll see what happens. "
However, Breton was positive about the quality of the British-Swedish manufacturer's vaccine.
"It's a good vaccine," he said.
In France there are reservations about the vaccine among the population.

The EU Commission had only announced on Saturday that up to 1.8 billion more vaccine doses should be purchased from Pfizer / Biontech by 2023.
