The Iraqi army announced the fall of a "suicide drone bomb" early yesterday, on the Ain Al-Asad air base, which includes US forces and is located in Anbar Province.

For its part, the international coalition against terrorists in Iraq led by Washington said that the attack, the fourth of its kind in less than a week, did not cause "any casualties", but caused "damage to a warehouse."

For his part, a senior US military told AFP that the drone in question had been intercepted before it launched the attack.

Since Sunday, two missiles have been fired at the same base, Ain al-Assad, and six missiles at another air base, in "Balad", where Americans are maintaining Iraqi F-16 fighters.

The base of "Ain al-Assad", where American and Iraqi forces are present, was hit last March with 10 missiles.
