Tomorrow, May 10th, is the day for single parent family. In particular, single parents of adolescents who suddenly became parents at a young age often don't even deserve a place to raise their children. It was confirmed as a result of SBS coverage that measures to support them by law are being promoted.

Reporter Yoo Su-hwan reports.

Mr. A suddenly became a mother at the young age of 16 five years ago.

He says that the most difficult thing was the cold gaze of society.

[Mr. A/Single mother: I once took a bus with a baby carrier on. The driver stopped the car and said,'I have a baby, but what kind of youth (fee) is it? Get down right away.' I got down while crying so much... .] The

child's father, who was in charge of making a living, used drug addiction to domestic violence.

Eventually, A ran away with her little daughter when she was 18 years old.

[Mr. A/Single mother: The baby and the two came out barefoot. Just without anything... . After being in a motel, I asked a Naver intellectual and asked for help at the police station, and then he said,'Would you like to go to the shelter once? .]

Like Mr. A, 12% of adolescent parents say they have had a child in a motel or sauna.

In addition, 90% of unmarried adolescent parents are disconnected from their families, but they are unable to receive basic living benefits due to the presence of parents on resident registration.

In line with Single Parent Family Day, a bill is proposed to support single parents of youth.

Even if they have a family to support, they will support low-income single pregnant mothers under the age of 24, single mothers raising children under the age of 2, and unmarried women as beneficiaries for two years.

[Kim Young-ju/ Democratic Party Member: Since I gave birth during adolescence, all single-parent families have parents, but I am out (at home). Because I have parents, I am also missing out on the application.] On

average, about 14,000 people become parents in adolescents a year.

Experts point out that it is necessary to increase the budget to support them and to expand the shelter for single parents.
