China News Service, May 8th. According to the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, State Councilor and Minister of Foreign Affairs Wang Yi presided over the high-level meeting of the UN Security Council on the 7th. Way to practice true multilateralism.

Wang Yi put forward four propositions:

First, win-win cooperation, not zero-sum games.

The more complex global issues are, the greater the need for teamwork.

The more difficult the challenge for all mankind, the greater the need for concerted efforts.

All countries should conduct dialogue and cooperation on the basis of equality and mutual respect.

No country should expect others to lose, but should strive to win together with other countries to achieve universal security and common prosperity.

Second, we must be fair and just, not bullying.

The core is to promote the democratization of international relations, so that all countries share the responsibility for governance and promote peaceful development.

The key is to promote the rule of law in international relations, abide by universally recognized international laws, and abide by mutually agreed international agreements.

International rules should be based on international law and formulated by everyone, not the patents and privileges of a few countries; they should be abided by by all countries, and no exceptions and double standards should be adopted.

Third, we must focus on action and not just sit and talk about the truth.

Multilateralism must start, focus on and solve problems, otherwise it will not stand and go far.

Our actions must not be short-sighted. We must sum up the interests of the world and incorporate our national interests into global interests.

We must take into account the present and the long-term. It cannot be a temporary necessity, which will undermine the continuous peace of the world and the sustainable development of the world.

In particular, major countries must set an example and take the lead in providing global public goods.

Fourth, we must respect diversity, not arrogance.

Each country has its own unique history and culture and needs to take a development path that suits its own national conditions.

Combining this diversity with the common value pursuit of all mankind of peace, development, fairness, justice, democracy, and freedom, will burst out a powerful force of multilateralism.

To divide the world by ideology, which runs counter to the spirit of multilateralism, is a retrogression in history.
