Bensheim (dpa) - The handball players of the Thuringian HC have substantiated their claim to reach a European Cup place in the Bundesliga.
At HSG Bensheim / Auerbach, the team of coach Herbert Müller clearly prevailed on Saturday evening with 31:23 (18:12) and defended fifth place with 39:17 points.
At the same time, the THC retaliated for the 28:32 defeat in the first leg.
The outstanding player at the winner was the Czech Marketa Jerabkova with 13 goals.
The Thuringians took command from kick-off.
Especially Jerabkova and Nina Neidhart whirled up the defense of the Bensheimers at will in the initial phase.
After a quarter of an hour the guests were leading 12: 5, and after a successful start into the second half there were no more doubts that the THC would win at 24:15.
