Ilmenau (dpa / th) - According to the CDU Bundestag member Tankred Schipanski, the city of Ilmenau will receive funding of around 3.9 million euros as a 5G model region over the next three years.
The city had success with its application "Pioneering region: networking mobility solutions in suburban areas" in a 5G innovation competition of the Federal Ministry of Transport, the politician announced on Saturday.
"The funding illustrates once again Ilmenau's expertise and know-how in the mobility of the future," explained Schipanski.
