Cologne (dpa) - Coach Peter Stöger will not return as a coach to Bundesliga soccer club 1. FC Cologne, according to media reports.
«I had good conversations with Horst Heldt and Alex Wehrle, which were characterized by mutual trust.
FC is a club that still means a lot to me and is very attractive.
But in the end we were of the opinion that returning at this point in time is not the right decision, ”Stöger told several Cologne newspapers on Saturday.
Most recently, the 55-year-old Stöger had discussed some basic things via video with Cologne's managing directors Heldt and Wehrle, but an agreement had not been reached.
