Members of the Zaragoza Firefighters and the National Police are looking for a missing minor on Saturday afternoon when he was

swimming with some friends in the Ebro river

, at the height of the Volunteer walkway, in the Aragonese capital.

As reported by the City Council of the Aragonese capital,

a fisherman has seen him for the last time in the water,

at the height of the Expo pier, in the Ranillas area.

The level of the river, according to the Ebro Hydrographic Confederation, is

at 0.84 meters

and carries 62.50 cubic meters per second.

The area in which the boy has disappeared is complicated by the existence of

siphons and weeds.

Apparently, the boy,

about 13 years old,

was swimming with four other young people, also minors, when he disappeared.

According to sources from the National Police, the minor, who got into the river by another of the group, was swimming in the middle of the river when it sank and his friends have no longer seen him leave.

Eyewitnesses have called 911 to report the incident.

After receiving the 112 warning, at 6:45 p.m., the Zaragoza Firefighters' diving unit has moved to the site to track the river, along with a 080 ambulance. There are also Local Police units there.
