Yesterday, the UAE sent a plane carrying 50 tons of foodstuffs to the Republic of Senegal, and also sent a plane carrying 50 tons of foodstuffs to the Republic of Sierra Leone, as part of the country's initiatives during the holy month of Ramadan.

The country's ambassador to Senegal, Sultan Ali Al-Harbi, said: “The UAE and Senegal are linked by distinguished bilateral relations based on the principle of friendship, solidarity and common interest,” stressing that the plane sent by the UAE reflects the level of strong relations between the two countries and its keenness to support impoverished families and vulnerable groups in Senegal during the holy month.

He added that there is communication and coordination between the UAE and Senegal at all levels, due to the great agreement between the two countries in values ​​and positions, and that the arrival of the plane today is further evidence of the fruitful cooperation and the escalating partnership between the two countries.

The UAE also sent a plane carrying 50 tons of foodstuffs to Sierra Leone, as the country's ambassador to Senegal, the non-resident ambassador to Sierra Leone, Sultan Ali Al-Harbi, said: “The UAE has taken upon itself to cooperate with brotherly and friendly countries in all circumstances and times.

This plane comes within the tireless work of the state and its wise leadership, which is based on solidarity, especially during this holy month.

He added: “On May 10 last year, the UAE sent a plane with seven tons of medical supplies to Sierra Leone, to support more than 7,000 health care workers and enhance their efforts to contain the emerging corona virus.”

It is worth noting that, as of yesterday, the UAE sent about 2,000 tons of aid to more than 135 countries, benefiting about two million health workers.
