08 May 2021 There is no reason to cancel the Tokyo Olympic Games, nor to postpone them. The vice-president of the International Olympic Committee, John Coates, almost definitively dismisses any change in the calendar of the Olympics.   

His response to a question from AFP, which asked if there could be impediments to the regular running of the Olympics, linked to the pandemic or other: "No, there aren't any".
