China News Agency, London, May 8th (Zhao Xingyi) The British government announced on the 7th a list of countries to travel abroad. For countries marked with different colors, the British government will implement different travel restrictions and rules.

According to the new crown epidemic situation in different countries, the British government has formulated a tourism transportation list system, which sets three countries in green, amber and red.

The system will take effect at the beginning of the third phase of the "unblocking roadmap" on May 17.

On April 12, local time, the UK’s third nationwide epidemic blockade entered the second stage of “unblocking”.

The British Transport Secretary Grant Shapps (Grant Shapps), the Director-General of the British Border Forces Paul Lincoln (Paul Lincoln) and the Chief Executive Officer of the British Health and Security Agency Jenny Harries (Jenny Harries) jointly held the government on the afternoon of the 7th. The list of categories was announced at the press conference.

The classification list stipulates that anyone traveling to a green country does not need to be quarantined when returning to the UK, and only needs to undergo a new crown test; those who travel to amber countries need to stay at home for 10 days and undergo two new crown tests when returning; If you arrive in the UK from a country on the red list, you will need to quarantine at your own expense for 10 days in a government-designated hotel, at a cost of £1750 per person.

More than 10 countries including Israel, Portugal, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Brunei, and Iceland are included in the green list.

Dozens of countries including Argentina, Bangladesh, Brazil, Chile, Ethiopia, and India are on the list of red countries.

Except for the green list and the red list, other countries and regions belong to the amber list.

China is listed on the amber list and requires testing and home quarantine when entering the UK.

Grant Sharps said that tourism is essential to the reconstruction of the British economy, and social contact between people is irreplaceable.

Sharps also said that the UK has made tremendous progress in the fight against the new crown epidemic, and it is a relatively successful model for the entire European continent.

But it is important that this achievement cannot be undermined at this stage, and the only way to get rid of this new crown pneumonia epidemic is to proceed with caution. When international travel restarts, the country that re-establishes "links" with the UK must be safe.

According to the British tourism industry, although Singapore, New Zealand and Australia have been included in the green list by the United Kingdom, these countries currently do not welcome or accept British tourists.
