It was known to the editorial staff of Kulturstudion that the host and artist Loney dear, whose real name is Emil Svanängen, has a relationship.

Nevertheless, they chose to let the person host the framing interview about his performance.

- It is a mistake at work, such should not happen but sometimes it does.

But I feel very safe with my project managers and producers and that we have our routines in place.

Then it has broken in this setting, and it was not good, says Martin Vårdstedt.

"We did as we always do"

The host does not want to comment on the matter for SVT News but refers to the editor-in-chief of the interview, Alexandra Lindroth.

- We did the kind of framing we always do, every week.

I can see that there is possibly a risk of conflict and that we should have done it differently.

You could not have done the framing or let another host go in, says Alexandra Lindroth.

"Proud of the concert"

The subsequent concert with Loney dear and the decision to broadcast it in Kulturstudion, the host had nothing to do with, says Martin Vårdstedt, program manager for SVT Culture and Society and responsible publisher for Kulturstudion.

- I have known that the concert would be produced and I am proud of it and happy with it.

Then when it comes to framing, how it is presented, where it has not been good, where it has gone wrong.

It is not appropriate to present it in the way that was done here.

There are ongoing discussions about how to deal with the program that is on SVT Play, both in its entirety and only as concerts.

- We have not made a decision about it yet.

The concert is mainly consumed without the framing, says Martin Vårdstedt.
