Kiel (dpa / lno) - A woman from Padenstedt (Rendsburg-Eckernförde district) who has been missing since the end of February is presumably dead. As the police and the public prosecutor in Kiel announced on Friday, a passer-by was about 15 kilometers away in Rade near Fitzbek the evening before discovered a woman's corpse in a ditch.
"The investigators have the first knowledge that the dead woman could be the 48-year-old from Padenstedt," it said.
According to the investigators, the body has rotted heavily.
A final identification, the cause of death and the time of death would have to be clarified via a forensic medical examination.
The investigation at the location was still ongoing.
The results of the investigation are expected in the next week.
