Berlin (AP) - Mattéo Guendouzi, on loan from Arsenal FC until June 30, will no longer play a game for Hertha BSC this season.
The suspicion of a metatarsal fracture was confirmed in more detailed examinations on Friday, as the Berlin Bundesliga club announced.
The 22-year-old midfielder from France will now have to take a break for the time being.
Guendouzi sustained the injury on Thursday evening in Hertha’s 3-0 win in the catch-up game in the Olympic Stadium against SC Freiburg.
It is still unclear whether Guendouzi will stay with Hertha beyond this season or return to the Gunners in London.
