The trial for burglaries of the pillar of the XV of France of rugby, Mohamed Houas, postponed for the first time to May 28, will be again postponed, to September or October, because of "congestion" of the judicial calendar.

"The president of the Montpellier judicial court asked us if it was possible to refer this case, because the hearing of May 28 promises to be overloaded", explained Marc Gallix, the player's lawyer, to AFP, by confirming the information of

L'Equipe.

"We have given our agreement for a dismissal, given the size of the role," continues the lawyer.

The exact date of the trial will be announced on May 28, when the scheduled hearing opens.

Initially scheduled for January 29, this trial was postponed for the first time, to May 28 to allow the player to participate in a training course for the France team and to properly prepare for the Six Nations Tournament.

"Burglary in meeting"

Arrested in 2014, and detained for four days in a remand center as part of the investigation into a series of burglaries in tobacco shops, Mohamed Haouas was brought to justice on suspicion of "theft in a house breaking and entering".

Established for the first time in the French team in February 2020 for the shock of the Six Nations Tournament against England, Mohamed Haouas, 27, 1.85 m for 127 kg, is today essential in the first line of the tricolor XV.

This ex-follower of taekwondo arrived in rugby late, at 15, thanks to an operation by the Hérault General Council, organized in his Petit Bard district in Montpellier.
