Hamburg / Rust (dpa) - The makers of the Hamburg miniature wonderland and Europa-Park Rust are still mysterious: Both family businesses have planned a joint project and want to build a virtual world of experience together.

"We want to use the latest technology to lift the limits of the laws of nature and create experiences with fantastic beings and unearthly perspectives," said Michael Mack, managing partner of Europa-Park, on Friday according to the announcement.

The joint project is currently in the development phase and is to be built at the turn of the year in a separate warehouse floor below the new miniature wonderland areas in Block L of Hamburg's Speicherstadt.

Without the Corona break for the two popular sights in northern and southern Germany, this project would probably not have existed.

“In retrospect, the pandemic was probably also an opportunity.

Without them, neither of us would have had the time for this incredibly creative and inspiring exchange, »says Miniaturland co-owner Frederik Braun.

With 1.4 million visitors a year, the miniature wonderland with its huge model railroad, along with the Hagenbeck zoo, is one of the largest tourist attractions in the Hanseatic city.
