Certainly, the news is moving around the Meinau stadium.

After the announcement yesterday Thursday of the arrival of the Blues on September 1 for a qualifying match for the 2022 World Cup, it is now the future fan zone as part of the project to renovate the Meinau stadium that is talking about.

Location, parking problem, openness to the neighborhood, the people of Strasbourg and in particular the inhabitants of Meinau are called upon to give their opinion.

A first meeting on the work will be held this Friday, by videoconference, at 6 p.m.

A cycle of consultation

Unveiled at the start of the year, the winning project for the restructuring-extension of the Meinau stadium must further refine its urban and landscape integration. The city and the Eurometropolis invite residents to take part in a cycle of consultation to build "a fan zone more open to the neighborhood", its access, like that of the stadium, by supporters. A fan zone which “will make the residents proud” and should strengthen the links between Racing and the inhabitants.

This consultation cycle will allow the building permit to be filed this fall and the start of the work phase during the year 2022. Concretely, the inhabitants, after having registered, will be able to express themselves on the location of the building. fan zone on May 20, on the parking lot on May 27 and on the insertion of the project in the neighborhood on June 3.

A summary and assessment meeting will be organized at the end of June to learn about the orientations adopted.
