Regarding the state of emergency in the four prefectures of Tokyo, Osaka, Hyogo, and Kyoto, the government specializes in extending the deadline of 11th next week to 31st of this month and adding Aichi and Fukuoka prefectures to the target area from 12th next week. I consulted with a subcommittee to make at home.

The government's "Basic Countermeasures Subcommittee", which is made up of experts on infectious diseases over measures against the new coronavirus, began at 9 am on the 7th with the attendance of Minister Nishimura and others.

Among them, Minister Nishimura extended the deadline of 11th next week to 31st of this month for the state of emergency in the four prefectures of Tokyo, Osaka, Hyogo, and Kyoto, and expanded Aichi and Fukuoka prefectures to the target areas from 12th next week. We consulted on the policy to add.

"Priority measures such as spread prevention" will be expanded to 8 prefectures

In addition, the deadline for "priority measures such as prevention of spread" applied to the three prefectures in the Tokyo metropolitan area will be extended to 31st of this month, and Hokkaido, Gifu and Mie prefectures will be added from 9th. We consulted on a policy to exclude it from the target with a deadline of 11 days next week.

As a result, the state of emergency is declared to the six prefectures of Tokyo, Osaka, Hyogo, Kyoto, Aichi, and Fukuoka, and the "priority measures such as spread prevention" are applied to Hokkaido, Saitama, Chiba, Kanagawa, Gifu, Mie, Ehime, and Okinawa. It will be expanded to 8 prefectures.

If the subcommittee approves this policy, the government will make a decision at the response headquarters after reporting to the Diet and asking questions.
