The song "Love story" which incorrectly ended up on Yasin's artist profile is actually performed by the Russian artist Yas1n.

The mistake was discovered yesterday morning and has now been rectified.

- When we discover or are informed of inaccuracies, we act.

This upload has now been corrected, says a spokesperson for Spotify to SVT.

According to Spotify, the record companies and music distributors that they collaborate with have their own responsibility for the song releases.

But this is not the first time a song has been released by mistake.

In 2019, the record company Sony Music had happened to publish a Melodifestivalen contribution on the music service.

According to the company itself, it was due to a technical error, something that Spotify thinks is unusual.

Accidentally tagged the wrong artist

SVT has been in contact with Spotify and asked about the reason why the Russian artist's song Yas1n's was published under the Swedish artist's Spotify profile.

The error was simply due to a careless error.

When Yas1n's team uploaded his music, the team happened to tag the wrong artist name in the system.

Instead of Yas1n, the Swedish rapper Yasin was tagged.

Spotify's distributors, who upload content to the platform, approve and ensure that their material does not violate the content policy.

In this case, the material may have violated the policy.

How Spotify chooses to proceed with the case is not entirely clear.
