China News Service, Haikou, May 6. Chinese President Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory letter to the first China International Consumer Goods Fair on the 6th.
Xi Jinping pointed out that hosting the China International Consumer Goods Expo and providing a global consumer boutique display and trading platform will help countries around the world share the opportunities in the Chinese market, help the recovery and growth of the world economy, and also help China provide the world with more high-quality consumer products.
It is hoped that guests from all countries and people from all walks of life will deepen exchanges and seek common cooperation to better benefit the people of all countries.
Xi Jinping emphasized that China is willing to leverage the advantages of the Hainan Free Trade Port in comprehensively deepening reforms and experimenting with the highest level of openness policies, deepen bilateral, multilateral and regional cooperation, and work with all parties to create a better future for mankind.
The first China International Consumer Goods Expo opened on the same day in Haikou City, Hainan Province. It was jointly organized by the Ministry of Commerce and the People's Government of Hainan Province. The total exhibition area is 80,000 square meters. There are nearly 1,500 domestic and foreign exhibitors from about 70 countries and regions.
