It's very fun.

Honored.

Honored.

Security.

What are you going to do with the money?

- I'll probably pay my taxes, says Amanda and laughs.

Motivation of the jury:

“Amanda Karlsson is awarded the scholarship for her characteristic expression.

Her work captures the viewer's interest with its serious and frozen moments.

Amanda Karlsson invites the viewer into a boundless, alternative world that is both fixed and fleeting.

With her works, she seeks an inner answer to the question of whether there is a basic truth or a basic reality. ”

Annual scholarship for ten years

The structure of the newly established scholarship is that it will be awarded annually to a young artist for the next ten years.

The sum is SEK 50,000, and that Ståhl Collection buys a work by the awarded artist.

- It is important to make the artists and their art visible, says art collector Mikael Ståhl.
