“This statement can be assessed as hypocritical,” the expert emphasized.

He added that there are many people in the Czech Republic who treat Russia well, and they are voters, and, as the political scientist said, Czech politicians should understand this.

According to Shapovalov, this statement is connected, first of all, with "a hypocritical desire to demonstrate to its citizens the desire to normalize relations with Russia."

Earlier, Babiš, commenting on the relations between Moscow and Prague, said about the need to "calm down this tense atmosphere, warmed up by emotions."

In April, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov called the statements of Czech officials about the causes of the explosions in Vrbetica and the subsequent accusations of high treason by the President of the country, Milos Zeman, as "pure schizophrenia", because he proposed to consider all versions of what happened, without discarding the version about careless handling of weapons.

The Kremlin categorically rejects the conclusions of the Czech Republic about the alleged involvement of Moscow in the explosions.
