Fürth (dpa / lby) - In March there was a further significant increase in the number of new companies founded in Bavaria.
A total of 10 193 new businesses had been registered, the State Office for Statistics announced on Thursday in Fürth.
Compared to March 2020, the number of start-ups increased by 76.4 percent.
Even after the first exit restrictions in spring 2020, the number of start-ups in Bavaria had increased rapidly.
They reached their first peak in July 2020 with 8,757 start-ups.
A second peak was reached with 8567 in October 2020.
With the value of March 2021, a new peak in the upward trend has now been reached, it said.
According to the information, a total of 116 644 traders have founded 104 181 new companies since March 2020.
32.4 percent of the traders were women.
