France is advancing the date for the opening of vaccination for over 50s.

From May 10, instead of the 15 initially planned, all people over 50 years of age will be able to be vaccinated, announced Emmanuel Macron on Thursday, May 6 in order to accelerate the vaccine campaign against Covid-19, specifying that the appointments -you can be picked up as of Friday.

"The campaign is continuing at a forced march," he added, inaugurating the first major Paris vaccine park, installed at Porte de Versailles in Paris.

The President also affirmed that the French will be able, from May 12 and "without age limit", to make an appointment the day before for the next day to be vaccinated against Covid-19 with unused doses of vaccine.

In order "not to waste any dose whatsoever", "from Wednesday 12th, you will be able to look at the available doses the day before and that whatever your age, and if there is, at the place where you are, doses available the next day, and therefore appointments not made, they will be open without age limit, "said the Head of State.

Reacting to the American announcement on the lifting of patents on vaccines, Emmanuel Macron said he was "completely in favor".
